Opis projekta (produkta, storitve)

The aim of our product is to provide the solution for two problems simultaneously. The main objective is to raise awareness about plastic pollution and importance of recycling within rather indifferent young population. To do this, we aim to provide them with a solution to their other problem, as a form of an incentive for recycling. For recycling the plastic bottle and making a step towards protecting the environment, our users will receive a condom, and get an opportunity to protect themselves. Therefore, with our solution, we are solving the problems of lack of recycling and inaccessible protection to young people, with just one vending machine.

Kje/zakaj rabimo pomoč (denar, znanje, drugi resursi)

We will need the help with the financial and legal aspects of the project. For the financial help, we will need initial investment for acquisition of vending machine and condoms. Following that, we will need assistance with the legal establishment of our project, and to follow the proper guidelines in order to stay labeled as the socially responsible business.

Tveganja in izzivi realizacije (Risks and challenges)

The biggest challenges of our project are to properly motivate people to recycle, not only for the incentive, but also to educate them of the purpose and the benefits of the recycling. At the same time, we want to help our users feel more free when accessing the protection and to reduce the shame connected to it.

 As for the risks, the biggest risks are that people will be in a way against our solution. Some young people may be too ashamed to use it, and at the same time some other groups may be protesting against our solution as it will not align with their values. We will try to offset these risks by carefully creating a marketing campaign to bring our solution closer to all those that will encounter it.

Časovnica izvedbe (Timeline)

Our project will take around 4 months to develop and prepare, and this initial phase would likely last from May to October in Year 1. Launching would take place in October Year 1. In the Year 1 we would continue to prepare for the expansion in the following year, planning phase taking place June-October Year 1, and expansion will be put in place in October Year 2. The following expansion is expected to take place in the same order as well, June-October in Year 2, and implementation October Year 3. This will be the initial phase of our business, and further expansions would be planned according the success of the Phase 1. 

O nas (Team)

Our team is consisted of 6 people, who came and worked together on creating this solution. Deana Kuljanin is a plan and project developer, determining the financial aspects of the project and general project specifics. Anka Hernavs has been a creative designer, creating the design and the prototypes. Petar Boljević provided technical support, creating the presentation of the project. Luka Vojnić Hajduk conducted and documented interview process, together with Nodirbek Jumaboev, who creating the interview questions and process. Last but not least is Aleksandar Nemanjić, who conducting the demographic research in the Koper, needed for our interview process.
